For you to be eligible for any technical training program, you must have a high school diploma or equivalency certificate (GED) and must be at least 17 years of age. In addition, some programs may require specialized assessment prior to acceptance.
For entrance into the Medical Assisting program, you must achieve a minimum score of 130 on the Career Program Assessment Test (CPAT), have a clean bill of health on the basic TB, and VDRL, and exhibit a basic typing proficiency of at least 15 words per minute.
To apply for the Health Information Technology program, you must achieve a minimum score of 130 on the Career Program Assessment Test (CPAT) and exhibit ability to type a minimum of 25 words per minute.
Because different versions of the examination are administered, you may retake an entrance exam on the same day. It is preferred that all students have valid driver's licenses before entering school; however, if you are enrolling for classes in Automotive, Diesel, Performance TunerĀ and Refrigeration, it is mandatory that you have a valid driver's license before starting classes, due to employment requirements.
