Employer Visits Are an Important Aspect in Career Development Skills for Students

The mock interview process that all WTC grads face prepares them for seeking employment in their chosen field.  Helen Garcia, Senior Career Services Representative with WTC says, “The real life setting and evaluation that local employers provide WTC grads, allows these students  to strengthen communication skills and to better understand  employer expectations. Employers actually grade the interview process in the areas of appearance, communication, eye contact, and more!"  WTC partners with businesses as part of this important curriculum component to add hands-on experience to create a solid educational foundation

In addition to mock interviews, employers provide classroom presentations, which only enhance the students’ ability to better understand employers’ expectations. WTC would like to thank the business community who provides students with these hands on experiences and encourages all businesses to become active educational partners with WTC, as our students may be your future! Please call (915)532-3737 or (915)566-9621 and ask to speak to the appropriate Career Services Representative that matches your field TODAY!
