CTAC is Proud to Announce a New Board is Elected!

On June 6, 2006 El Paso, Texas, CTAC slated and elected the new board officers to serve the 2006-2007 school year. We wish to congratulate the outgoing board for a job well done and a big “Thank You!” The incoming Board Chair is Jerry Martin, Western Technical College, Vice Chair is Gilbert Pedregon, GECU, Secretary for CTAC is Amy Martin, Western Technical College and Maria Gamboa, Treasurer, Independent Financial Consultant.

Scholarship Banquet is a Huge Success!

CTAC’s annual scholarship banquet was a huge success, several area ISD representatives, Superintendents, CATE Directors, and teachers from the area attended the event to congratulate their scholarship recipients. Mayor Cook was the keynote speaker and did a wonderful job explaining how important all areas of education are, specially Career and Technology. The future of El Paso is determined today in CATE training programs.

Message from the Chair:
I am looking forward to personally welcome you and all members of CTAC this upcoming year. This summer the executive board will meet and plan our vision for 06-07. A lot of items are coming our way and we will need all the help we can get.

Some events include:

• Selection of Committee Chairpersons!
• 2nd Annual Golf Tournament in November 2006!
• 2nd Annual All District Wide Job Expo!
• Establishing our “Community Partners” with Business!
• Scholarship Banquet and Selection Committee!
• 2nd Annual ISD Advisory Briefings!
