CTAC Announces NEW Committee Chairs:

Membership Committee Chair - Gilbert Pedregon, GECU
Scholarship Committee Chair - Jerry Martin, Western Technical College
Social Committee Chair - Maria Gamboa, Independent Consultant

CTAC Approves NEW Monthly Meeting Locations:
The general membership has proposed that CTAC rotate it’s monthly meetings and that they be held at the ISD’s so that the districts are able to showcase their Career and Technology Programs and so that the Career and Technology Counselors and Teachers are able to participate in the advisory committee meetings. During the October CTAC meeting, the executive board approved the following monthly meeting schedule:
November 30, 2006 - {THURSDAY} at 3:45pm. Meeting will be hosted by EPISD and will be held at the Center for Career and Technology Education. [1170 Walnut] Lunch will be $10.00 per person.
December 2006 – CTAC will NOT convene for a regularly scheduled meeting; we will hold a Christmas Gala, more information to come.
January 30, 2007 - El Dorado High School @ 11:30am. Meeting Hosted by SISD. Lunch will be $6.50 per person.
February 2007 – SEISD will host an after hours meeting, more information to come.
March 2007 – YISD will host a lunch meeting, more information to come.
April 2007 – CISD will host an after hours meeting, more information to come.
May 2007 – Scholarship Banquet

Socorro Independent School District hosts Fall T&I Conference at El Dorado High School.
Canutillo Independent School District hosts Fall Health Occupation Students of America Leadership Conference. They will also hosting BPA in January 2007.
Ysleta Independent School District hires New Cosmetology and Welding teachers.
San Elizario Independent School District hires Amy Martin as New Health Science Technology teacher.
