Massage TherapyWTC proudly announces that it is now taking applications for its NEW Massage Therapy Program with daytime classes starting on October 9. “The Massage Therapy Program at WTC is unique in that it provides 600 hours of training with an extensive background in anatomy, physiology, muscle and skeletal systems. Nearly half of the course is direct hands on experience,” says Program Manager, Melanie Young.

Melanie YoungMs. Young is a registered Nurse with a specialty in the field of neonatal. She is licensed massage therapist in the state and is also a Nationally Certified Massage Therapist and Body Worker. She has been teaching Massage Therapy for 6 years. She has over 2000 hours of education in the field of massage therapy. She is trained in many different techniques of massage therapy by National big wigs in the field. Young says, “I have had the opportunity over the past 12 years to gain experience by working within several massage specialties such as sports and fitness, craniosacral, connective neuromuscular, and even spa treatments.” Ms. Young will bring her knowledge and experience into the classroom by integrating hands on training with the elderly, pregnant mothers, athletes, infants and children treatments.

“The fact that the massage tables, state and national certification fees are included in the tuition fees is exciting. The public will soon see our students working in the community at health fairs and sporting events to give them the hands on knowledge they deserve. This is a great Massage Therapy Program and WTC is willing to answer any questions that individuals may have, just give us a call! “
