Underwater Welders Needed! Ocean Corp to Attend Upcoming Job Fair
Nathaniel Pepper is a March 2006 graduate of Western Technical College with high aspirations. Nathaniel not only attended and completed the Welding Program at WTC, but went on to study at Ocean Corp. in Houston, Texas to become an underwater welder. Ocean Corp. will participate in WTC’s upcoming Job Fair at the Plaza Campus to inform students about the underwater welding opportunities available. Bob Browning, Ocean Corp. Director of Admissions says, “Welding students and those interested in welding need to know that they can continue their education after they complete the welding program at WTC. The job opportunities in the field of underwater welding are phenomenal!” Browning continues, “There is only one third of the amount of trained underwater welders needed to fill positions today. Underwater welders are in great demand and the starting salary averages at about $1850.00 per week.”
Nathaniel says, “I think students at WTC need to know about this great opportunity that I took. The work is exciting and I have already gained employment with a diving company to expand my experience while in school. “Nathaniel ends by saying, “A lot of people say, “I want to do this!” Well, I say, YOU SHOULD! The money is better and you need to follow your dreams. It’s not easy, but if you know what you want, then go after it!”
